The Taming of the Shrew features a "cast ranging in age from four to 74," and while a production that includes both senior citizens and little kids who knows more about Pokeman than Shakespeare might appeal to the strip mall-studied, cooler-packing suburbanites who will storm this thing in a siege of lawn chairs and howling feral children--it will not, we can virtually guarantee, appeal to you. A company devoted to developing theater in the culture-starved Milwaukie/Gladstone area, New Century Players, presents this classic old play about the always fun topic of psychological torture.
