What's the ballpark pay for this job?

I would have to assume that any job for the Merc pays at least $15/hour, which is pretty good!

Lol! I doubt the editor in chief even gets $15/hr. I imagine the Mercury offices are a lot like the newspaper Hunter S. Thompson's character worked for in The Rum Diary. Full of terrified alcoholics, all aged far beyond their years, who are prepared to debase themselves in any way for their next scoop/paycheck/bottle of cheap rum.
