That's three "kind of"s in a single review. I'm pretty sure that's a new record for the Mercury.

That pool sequence was sharp, and Harlan Ellison is a litigious asshole.

Watching that clip reminds me that the quality of the casting extended to minor characters -- Garret Dillahunt (the man who shot Wild Bill Hickock), Dean Winters playing a non-psychopath for a change, Catherine Dent, Andre Royo, Bruce Davison, and even Brian Austin Green earning some credibility.

To erase the third movie from continuity, and then build up Dillahunt's character over almost half the short season before he becomes a real threat again had to take a ton of nerve for a new show. I'm really looking forward to the second season as well. I hope the writing maintains, and McG doesn't fuck things up too badly with the movie.

On the bright side, there's probably enough time between now and whenever the hell BSG airs again to watch the whole three seasons in their entirety before then.

We restarted it last week...

I gave up on it last year after five episodes mostly because I didn't think it woudl be renewed. But with Shirley Manson joining the cast I plan to check back in. (Don't need the DVD though - still free on Hulu).

Please wait...
