Can you simplify this even more? If Miles gets to ten, then the Blazers __________."

--have to pay him his old 18mil salary?
--will owe every other team 250k because they are over a limit and there's a weird rule?
--will not have money available to make any sort of trade or draft?
--what?

What about my hands?

Why couldn't Miles just have stayed put on the bar stool of some titty bar?

If Miles gets to ten, then the Blazers will have the $18 million counted against their cap which will put them not only over their salary cap, but also put them into the "luxury tax" category. So not only will they not have any room to grab any free agents, they will also have to pay a bunch of extra money which goes to all of the teams that aren't in luxury tax territory.

That headline makes no sense.

"Hands off Darius" would have made sense though.

Yeah, it sounds like a Greek artifact or something. "Behold, The Hands of Darius!"

Oops. I should have co-tagged this post under the "drunk" section as well.

Fixed! Sorry.

And Darius truly does have lovely hands.

DAMN! that is a sweet whip.

I guess the Blazers think they're in the Montessori school league, where everyone is equal, everyone plays and there are no losers, rather than the NBA...

I hope some scrub team like Memphis takes the bait and kicks the Blazer front office square in the jewels.

It seems so weird to me that other teams can sign him up for mini-contracts, all the while his Portland contract is still in place (though in a frozen) state... and, furthermore, that the mini-contracts work to thaw out the Portland contract. I think it's barf.

You'd think that at the very least his frozen contract would have to go through a new negotiation once it becomes active again. I mean, he's obviously not worth 18mil now...

Please wait...
