My van agrees to be an extra for your show if I get to park in front of the freight entrance you blocked for two days without using the street. :-)

Seriously, for years I've wanted more productions to come to town -- why should Vancouver, BC get all the gigs? But they need to be more careful about blocking off multi-block areas of downtown for extended periods of time -- or they'll piss off a lot of people and make it more difficult for future productions to get permission to film.

Yay to the production happening here -- boo for being sloppy at coordinating the exclusive use of public resources.

For clarification: the car explosion filming today wasn't for the show Leverage. It was for a film with Harrison Ford and Timothy Dalton. Details.

I have a friend who works at Mary's. She was super bummed that she lost a lot of $$ since the street was closed off. Boo!

Nope, this explosion was not for Crowley. It was for Leverage. At least that's what Oregon Live, et. al., are saying.

Is there a possibility of another car explosion? If an unofficial Harrison Ford fan site is accurate (and why wouldn't they be) Crowley is set to blow up a car this week too. But who the fuck knows?

re: Harrison Ford and Encino Man blow up a car

Why would a movie with this plot, "A drama centered on the efforts of John and Aileen Crowley to find a researcher who might have a cure for their two children's rare genetic disorder" have car explosions?

The more you know... the less stupid things you say.

I think that quote continues, Graham.

"...the efforts of John and Aileen Crowley to find a researcher who might have a cure for their two children's rare genetic disorder, steal the secret formula, and blow up a car in a zany madcap escape through the streets of downtown Portland."

Please wait...
