This is overblown. My family eats virtually nothing but delicious ConAgra potpies, and salmonella outbreaks are a relatively rare occurrence in our household.

Its important for kids to be exposed to pathogens/ Samonella (or "Ol' Sally" at Casa de Colin) so they can build up their immunities.

With one or two ingredients? How the hell would anyone do that?
Even raw fruit contains sugars, acids, minerals, etc ...

D: The raw fruit, I eat (for instance, the strawberry I picked from my garden this morning,) contains exactly one ingredient: Fruit, in that case, a strawberry. Maybe you eat some sort of fruit that is made in a factory where they add sugar and acid and stuff, (Now I went and looked in my emergency supplies: A can of pears contains "Pears, Water, and High Fructose Corn Syrup") but regular people don't consider that to be "raw fruit," they consider that to be "canned fruit."
