Cool. This is the only thing I've read about this movie, but it's pretty much the exact thing I most wanted to read about it.

SciFi Channel was running a LoL marathon for two days. I forgot how truly bad that show was. You had to be 5 years old to like it. So even a Will Farrell movie would be better.

At the beginning of the trailer, during Star Trek, I was like, "oooh no." But then it started to actually look like something I'd want to see. Meanwhile, the Transformers 2 trailer had me in stitches. I'll bet it's going to suck just as much as that vacuum bot they showed near the end.

Bless you, Erik. I've had almost this exact same conversation with at least 3 different sets of people this weekend. And I'm thrilled to read the quote from Silberling. The moment I walked out of that screening, I said to my buddy, "This might be the first movie based on the memory of a tv show." I had a blast.

My favorite part of the Transformers trailer is when the dude says "Don't stop, don't hide, just run!" Well stopping, no, that's probably a bad idea, but is hiding really so much worse than running when your foe is a CAR half the time?

On the actual topic at hand, I think daily newspaper critics are reluctant to endorse these non genera specific movies. It may also be that "Land of the Losers" "Losers of the Lost" and "Losers of the Losers Loses" were just too tempting headlines.

The band defending "Land of the Lost" is small but hearty! I don't get the hate-pile on this movie. Danny McBride was funny, Chaka was hilarious, and the movie goofs on the Krofft universe in the same way college kids have been goofing on it for a couple of decades now.
