How interesting the mighty Willamette Week and Oregonian reporters blackmailed Adams and Breedlove. Are journalists are held to a different standard of ethics?
Could someone explain to me how the O and others used "we're going to tell people about your conviction" to blackmail the kid? How is that somehow worse than coming a hair away from helping to destroy the career of someone you love "as a person and my friend?"
Journalists in the 21st Century do anything they can to keep their jobs. And if they don't report on each others' malpractice and instead publicize fights against Multnomah County hiring a direct, two-way communications specialist, they might hang onto their jobs a few more years.
Sounds like a good title for a movie.
