And the assumption that if someone advocates the ownership of firearms is "nuts" or "dangerous" is pretty ignorant. It washes the other knee jerk hand that assumes all people that own weapons are violent.

Let me guess: This is the leftist, homosexual, hippy-dippy, Palin-bashing, ganga promoting free fishwrap for Portland? Am I close? The 2nd Amendment was put in the Bill of Rights to insure that a tyrant, such as the birth certificate-less usurper currently in the White House, could not run free without some push-back from an armed citizenry. Anotherwords, the Founding Fathers saw that the current situation was possible and prepared us for it. It is up to us to do something about it, and we shall!

That's good satire 2ndDivisionVet(?). You have to add the part about the president's name similarity with Osama. But tone down the desperation, you don't want to go overboard or admit that you're a traitor.

Historically speaking, when you combine the right to bear arms and the right to assemble, you wind up with the right to get Your ass shot off and your house burned down. Its a subtle nuance of the law to be sure, but perhaps worth pointing out.

I had a friend who was a card-carrying Marxist and was a member of Amnesty International and the National Rifle Association. His reasoning..."when the revolution is successful his kind will be the first against the wall."
