Those both sound like fine ideas, to get the CRC hung up in the courts for years. Both Oregon and Washington law require bicycle access, and without the tolls they'll have to redo the EIS from scratch because the conclusions will be all wrong. (The EIS has taken several years so far, and they aren't even finished yet.)

Two-point-three-eight percent of the overall cost, even! Horrific!

Amazing that the Oregonian editorial board would even suggest this, really.

Mayor Pollard wants to bring light rail to Clark College, which would entail (if I remember right) building a 1500 car parking garage. I cannot understand why he wants it to end at CC. If the purpose of light rail is to cut congestion and eliminate cars from I-5, it makes more sense to me to have it go out to the fairgrounds to a park & ride. Run a line out I-205 to the same place and you have light rail to both sides of Portland. Then, if we are out of the recession (many years down the road) think about expanding it to other areas in Vancouver. IMHO

Best thing that could happen for our No Po property values would be for that bridge to fall into the river. F*ck Clark county.

@McAngry: That is an asinine remark to be made by a supposedly intelligent human being.

If you dont drive a car, don't cross the river. It's really just that simple.
