I'm kind of surprised so many people have been making such hay over Lauren Davis' comments. Considering that Cameron himself has copped to the idea of trying to make a movie that requires people actually going to the movie theater, it doesn't exactly take a genius to make the observation.

I didn't watch the 2-D trailer, but I can see how it would just look silly. And parts of the 3-D trailer were goofy too, but then there's a dragon-fighting scene which I could watch all day—it's like an Anne McCaffrey book come to life. (... awesome, I mean.) I hope the dragons are in it a lot.
