I've read Surrogates. I like it a lot. The artwork was dead on. The various sub-plots between the main detective and the people in his life who couldn't understand his choices were also very interesting.

The other neat touch was how there were in context fake ads inserted through out to give more veracity to the world the author created.

I also love robot ninjas, comic books and detective stories. Pretty much tailor made for my tastes.

1. Have you read the prequel to The Surrogates (Flesh and Bone)? 2. If so, should I read them in chronological order, or Surrogates first?

I have not read the prequel. I do have a hold placed on it at the library and will let you know what I think once I've read it.
