The original pizazz for COPS came from the first producer and host John Bunnell, a Multnomah County sheriff who oozed charm and authority.

Guess that's over.
2
Was the giant steaming pile of horse manure Portland POlice mounties left on a SW Yamhill sidewalk downtown yesterday also the result of a COPS shoot gone haywire?
3
So questioning people is a "raid"?
4
When police and COPS camera crews en masse enter a homeless dinner from two different sides, it's a little more invasive than a "questioning".

i better look tough, i'm gonna be on tv

WHY ARE PEOPLE GIVING THEIR NAMES AND ID TO THE COPS? Stop it! Don't be stupid or encourage them.

You have the absolute right to remain silent. If a cop approaches you and asks you for your name just say nothing and go about your business. If she has a reason to stop you she will, but don't help her out. In general, the only three things you should EVER say to a cop in Oregon are "Am I Free to Go?" "I do not consent to a search" and "I demand a lawyer" Then shut the &^!% up.

Matt Davis cares about the homeless.

"It's cool guys! You'll be able to see yourselves on TV when you get... uh... home."

I don't believe it was very cool for the police to just run up and just assume that that was there at st Francis that not cool in my book they ought to call or question the person in charge at st Francis...............but does one think about what they are doing.....alot people do think first before doing we just act...............

Why don't the mounted police have to clean up after themselves? Dog owners do.

shit ... what a gang of disrespecting Hollywood bound jerks!
Totally uncalled for and disrespectful
First a car wreck ..the n they flub up at a homeless dinner
Wow ... its a complete wonder no one got shot or tazered
No aplogy? ...No Shock here!
Even when they "kill a man" (James Chasse) they wont apologize
Welcome to Portland (Bad Boys is Right!) (Whatcha gonna do)

Matt, why are you blaming the cops for the car wreck? According to the Mercs' news piece, the police car was struck by a car that veered into their lane. I think you are right on about the invasion at the dinner. That could surely have been handled in a better way.

Number Six, actually, complying with an officer's request for identification should be added to your list. You will needlessly arouse harm upon yourself if you do not comply with providing identification.
