It is stupid decisions and laws like this is how we get hurt. Someone posted this on the internet and I thought it was good for everyone to read.

Well, we LGBT always stand in one line. "We do support each other to get more rights just as equal as others.." said on the forum of -BiMingle.com --Anyway, we will get and learn more from it. Hope the world is beautiful for LGBT too.

BRO is not "waiting" for 2012: it has already begun a long, intensive education process. many of those who voted for M36 are pretty supportive of GLBTQ rights - but they are "uncomfortable" with gay marriage. that's why M36 worked: it went past what people "knew" and what they "felt". insidious & effective. you do not overcome that kind of resistance with some emotional pleas, videos from Maine and the argument that "it's not fair or just". if it were that easy, we would have fixed a lot of damn things by now.

marriage equality is incredibly important. it won't be won just by demanding it be won; it will take a lot of work, which BRO and others have begun. winning a statewide campaign takes time & preparation. this isn't because not enough people do not believe in justice; it's because the state did pass M36 and this is how you undo the damage.

Please wait...
