Print edition stories often get miscoded and subsequently lost in the system when being transferred to the OregonLive site. Nothing too nefarious.
2
Agreed. We all know the site is run out of Newark! But if anyone can find the editorial online, could they send me the link?

"We also get the O delivered here at the Mercury's offices, for the sake of, you know, lining the dog's basket"

You know, people actually pay to read the Oregonian. You guys drop stacks of your "paper" at the door of local strip joints.

Actually, there's a stack of Mercurys in the box in front of City Hall, as well as in the back lobby of the Portland Building, so somebody near those buildings must be reading them.
5
Paul, is that supposed to improve my estimation of the Mercury?
6
@Blabby: And you know that they put their paper at strip clubs, how exactly?

(I know, do as I say, not as I do and all that. But the Mercury is a business and it seems to be reaching their audience that way, so why does it matter?)

Actually, I was mainly just reacting to the kneejerk Oregonian bashing. It's a lazy Portland cliche. "The Oregonian sucks, and McMennamins has bad service, and I call Vancouver 'Vantucky'"

Yawn.

Please wait...
