Does the vehicle have to be motorized? I mean,
1) This is Portland*
2) This is the Portland Mercury**
(I agree that it would probably be difficult to do this job on TriMet+foot.)
*You can expect that people know how to get places and still look presentable in the rain/hot weather, and that people can figure out how to carry proofs on their bike. Actually, with job applicants you can't expect anything at all, but I'm saying that such people do exist, and if they have 1+ years of experience and think they can do this job on a bicycle, they probably will know that those issues would be something they need to think about...
**The places you sell ads to wouldn't be surprised if the Mercury salesperson showed up on a bicycle, you aren't looking to impress your clients with how nice your car is. And it isn't like the Oregonian where you sell ads in Salem; yes, you do sometimes have ads from the suburbs, but 90% of the advertisers are located within TriMet zones 1&2.
(Not that I'm interested in the job, I'm just asking the question.)
