There was one pope (whose name I forget but was a Borgia, I believe, so this would be during the Renaissance) who was accused of everything under the sun from rape to murder. Unfortunately, he was dead.

That didn't stop the trial, though. They exhumed him, sat him up in court, yelled at him for several days, found him guilty. He was stripped of his vestments and thrown into the river.

So anyway, precedent exists, just in case you were wondering. If the Vatican can do that, then they can pass equally harsh sentences on the living, right?

Resign? You haven't been paying much attention to how the Church has been handling these accusations have you? He's not going to admit any fault, much less resign.

Outted any pedo priests lately?

Q:
Where does a white, gray-haired balding glasses-wearing 60 y.o. pedophile priest from SoCal go to work after the Church's "cure" failed and he’s been kicked out?

A:
If you are a pious & condescending “John" with a slight misdirecting middle name change and dyed reddish brown hair,
you go UNDERCOVER to a North Portland level 1 catholic-owned hospital convincingly disguised & working as Spanish translator.
