I don't comment on OregonLive, mostly because I can't figure out the registration process.

But - this is an amazing story. How, please explain, with all the whining about the end of the world of journalism, does this rise to the surface. I mean, who called these people back?

So keep this clipping. When the fogeys come lurching out from the cubicles, usually looking for a sugar fix around 4 in the afternoon and looming over you to complain about the good-old-days, and most of them have beards, unfold this on one them.

Say: explain that whiner.

"how often do reporters write stories just to make fun of their subjects?"
Matt Davis to the white courtesy phone.

'"I was being mauled literally for the kill. She had got a hold of my nose first, my face first, my arms - I was literally screaming," she said.'

Mauled literally? Literally screaming? Was she attacked by a book? How does literal screaming vary from regular screaming?

"Was she attacked by a book?"

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

Please wait...
