Please Portland Mercury Staff don’t take the Merc back to the gutter. Matt’s legacy as I see it made city politics accessible, he did the necessary in depth reporting that we, the city of Portland needed. Lets remember high school with fond memories, just don’t write like you are still there.
The Oregonian regularly says the Powerball numbers are "not available." They're available alright, but the paper's put to bed hours before they announce the numbers. That's why by the time you read a story in the O, it's news that's been on the nets for at least a day, usually from the Merc. and other sources keeping up.
