There IS a recession going on. Freight volumes are down, car volumes are down, why exactly do we need to pump any money into more freight routes right now?

However, people can't afford to put gas in their cars and they still need to go places, so I think that speaks pretty strongly for more bicycle routes...

What made any business person imagine for even a second that Metro would respond to their needs over those of bicyclists?

Business should know by now that its not even worth the effort to lobby these people.
