Dear lord. Was that Sasha Grey as the teacher?
2
I, for one, enthusiastically welcome "Nerd Porn Tuesdays" and look forward to many years of being slightly titillated in ironic, intelligent, and geeky ways... On Tuesdays.

LAT: "Bradbury *chafes*, for instance, at the description of his work as *science fiction* -- in the past he has pointed out that, to his mind, 'Fahrenheit 451' is the only sci-fi book in his vast body of work -- and despite his passion for more national space projects, he is not technology obsessive by any means."

But I'm sure he'd wouldn't mind getting all chafed just this one time

Vonnegut also hated being called a SF writer. So does Margaret Atwood.

However, they don't get a vote. If you write books with aliens and mutants and future civilizations, you are a SF writer whether you like it or not.

Also, yes to more nerd porn.
5
No one tell Kiala about this.
6
This looks like something someone at my high school would have done for an IB English project.
7
Where can I get this track for my iPod? I mean really. I'll pay her for it and everything.
8
Nerd Porn Tuesdays? Hooray! Bring on the Lum Invader cosplay!
9
TOO LATE.
10
Allow.
11
Triple allow. I love her.

@Nat: http://www.mediafire.com/raybradbury

yeah i think i love her too. I will fight you nex. and I will win.
13
I'm going to hang back. Silent, hiding in the shadows of the woods. Nex and Alison will fight each other for her. I will watch, unflinching, as they brutally kill each other. Then, my foes having vanquished themselves, I shall step forward and claim my prize. The cannon shall fire twice into the cold air as she and I make our way back to civilization, back to the Gold Room at Powell's, where we will live the rest of our lives in luxury.

In related news, I'm currently reading The Hunger Games.
14
Shit, I know I'm a nerd when I strongly disagree with the song on who is the greatest SF writer in history. I mean, come on, isn't Asimov pretty undisputed?
15
What about Arthur C. Clarke? He has weitten some pretty good stuff also.
16
And that H.G. Wells guy did some good work too.

Probably sort of an awkward hump, since I imagine he's mostly bones (if that) by now, but since this lady has apparently become the communal wife of The Portland Mercury, I don't think she has to actually have sex with the corpse anyway.
17
Boner problem = old busted. Throblem = new hotness.

Columbia Credit Union has been pretty awesome to me, I recommend them.

Before I get hit with an overdraft, it's supposed to automatically pull from both of my savings accounts. But the feds only allow 6 of those automatic pulls a month, apparently, and I went off for 3 weeks of vacation without thinking about it, using my debit card for everything. Racked up all kinds of overdrafts even though I had the money in savings.

When I got back six weeks later I just said "Oops, I didn't know! Silly me!" and CCU refunded over $400 in charges!

Why is a post about my bank on here? That should have been on a different blog post. And it WAS, back then. How'd it migrate?

Please wait...
