wow...I watched quite a few of those videos now and I was really impressed by this one. What is he a robot? That was the most impersonal generic unhelpful pile of crap.
@ Bob, I'm as guilty as anyone to overreaction in the comments from time to time, but I'm just kidding. If Neil Goldschmidt made the same video, we'd all make the same joke. Also, pretty much all college students are over 18.
Also, my esteemed comment colleague yourmom.com is right; this is a pretty lackluster video, given Adams's stature.
Finally, when you have a sex scandal (whether you deserve it or not), you should be a little more sensitive to public appearances while you are still a public figure.
Wouldn't the obvious choice of location been the Mayor's office, or in front of City Hall, or on a bridge with the city in the background, or something that makes him look a little more important than just a pasty guy in a tie in a dorm room, probably using the in-laptop camera of someone's roommate?
I'm glad he contributed to this awesome project, but I wish he and his people had put a little more thought and effort into it.
I see a nondescript office, not a dorm room. If I wanted to see lame jokes about his sex life I would read the comments on any O-live story with the word 'Mayor' in the headline.
Thanks for illustrating my point with crystal clarity there, "norm".
Anyway, to any kids grappling with depression and thoughts of suicide: Blog comments are not a good indication of real attitudes or diversity of opinion. Please ignore the nastiness, the bitchiness about backdrop (really?), the critique that the video is robotic/mundane/boring, and just look for the original message of hope. It does get better. And there's plenty of videos from plenty of people, keep watching.
Message: If queers ever make any kind of mistake, they must be reminded of it constantly no matter what the context.
A for effort. C- final product.
