If you don't like the Salvation Army's interpretation of Christianity, just go elsewhere. Why do some people want to drag everyone kicking and screaming to one narrow interpretation of what should be. I don't smoke, but to me a blues bar needs to have smoke in it to be the real thing. I don't want to see a world where all the men are feminized girls in masculine clothing. And I really don't want to live in a world where a couple adults ask to sit on dept store Santa's lap and then get him fired for joking that one of the benefits of being Santa is knowing where all the naughty boys and girls live. God...I'll be glad when I'm dead and don't have to live with this bullshit going on all around me.

The post is highlighting the hypocrisy of the policy, not that they have that policy. This post is highlighting the waste (throwing the toys away) and the double standard (M-16). This post is not at all complaining about the Salvation Army's interpretation of Christianity. I'm really struggling right now not to say 'you won't be the only one glad when you're dead', but I'm far too classy for that.

@Amanda: 1/10 troll. Too boring and not enough line breaks.

@Amanda, if you don't like what Mercury writers have to say just go elsewhere.

Bruce, Graham, guspacho: it would seem Blogtown has found a new J.C.J.

Will do. I do not go to any establishment that has SA bell ringers. The ringing sound is one of intolerance and a fairly dull religion.

If anyone is curious about specifics of what the Salvation Army is all about:
