Even McCartney defenders admit that he produced a lot of dross in the late 70's, by which they mean songs like this. I'd much rather hear the Beatles' "Christmas Time is Here Again," which includes one of the best lines in any X-Mas song eve, namely "O-U-T spells out."

that should say "ever," not "eve."

Everyone writes duds. Not everyone releases them.

Worst song ever.

I first grew to hate this song when it played at the restaurant I worked at. Normally the music looped every four hours, but the Christmas tape looped EVERY HOUR.

Based on John and Paul's Christmas songs alone you can tell who the better Beatle was.

I won't argue with y'all cuz I know I'm in the minority who finds solo McCartney at his worst better than solo Lennon at his worst (despite solo Lennon at his best being WAY better than solo McCartney).

If you think this is the worst Christmas song ever, though, I have a doozy in store for tomorrow...

Thanks for bringing that song back into my conscious mind! And by thanks I mean fuck you! Somehow I'd managed to avoid hearing it so far this year, just lucky I guess.

This is, indeed, the worst Christmas song ever. I'm not gonna qualify or justify that statement, and I'm not gonna argue with previous comments, I'm just gonna leave it at that. Worst Christmas song ever. Period.

My guess is that Thursday's song will be "Up on the Rooftop" by The Jackson 5. *shudder*

Chores did a version of this song for the WW Xmas comp last year: http://choresmusic.com/chores-xmastime.wav

Learning this song was sheer torture.

Please wait...
