This is an outright lie: "All readers deep down dream about owning a bookstore."

FUCK. NO. Opening a bookstore is a sucker's game.
2
I would put a bar in mine.
3
I would go to kiala's bookstore.
4
Kiala should take it to kickstarter. I'd go.
5
How about a bar in a bookstore where we can open up our own little bookstore bars?
6
The consignment idea actually sounds kinda cool. You already see mini bookstores sometimes at places like House of Vintage (minus a focused theme).

The "broker of literary services"? In a community of half-employed DIY narcissists? That is a recipe for financial/artistic murder/suicide.
7
Night Moves, I don't follow your logic. Aren't half-employed DIY narcissists exactly the type to want to self-publish their novel?
8
Kiala, Kramer's Books in Washington, D.C., did just that. And it is AWESOME. Micros on tap, books galore and there was death metal on the PA when I was there.
9
Follow the logic: What sounds better coming out of the mouth of a DIY narcissist?: "My book's about to be published by.." or "My books been published (and everyone can see it's shit and it's sitting on shelves, unread)"?
Besides, actually doing it is SO tryhard....

Please wait...
