There must be a lot of glaucoma patients there. I walk by daily between 4:30 and 5 and every time it reminds me of a phish concert.

It's clear state and city govts. needs to establish public medication stations and carve out an exception to the "public places" nonsense... which, when taken literally, prohibits someone who may be homeless from access to her/his medication. It's clear we all have a right to medicate.

In fact take it a step further, as the Canadians have done, and create Safer Injection Sites; cuts overdose deaths dramatically and gets hardcore addicts in touch with health care and drug treatment options.

Occupy ... is working and exposing the true nature of our stupid drug polices at every level... I'm not at all surprised those who are threatened by the truth would use the drug laws to try and stop this historic movement... revolution is messy and the drug laws are a hammer... after all that was the intent in the first place when Nixon declared the "War on Drugs," in 1972 and used it against those of us out on the street protesting segregation and the Vietnam war...
