Lynn’s decision to organize the meetups has earned him everything from emails calling him a Nazi sympathizer to Facebook messages threatening to spill his “queer blood.”

Just like Jesus would want. Ignorant ghost hunters.

SAME TUNE, DIFFERENT SONG. THEY'RE STILL HATEFUL BIGOTS.

The US is one of the most religious countries in the world. Possible reason? The United States has a less comprehensive social welfare safety net than most other economically developed countries, leading many Americans to experience existential insecurity and economic uncertainty characteristic of poor, uneducated highly religious populations. Church and associated behavior is bizarre even if you aren't a bigot church goer.

Why does bro-pastor faux hawk love Portland so much? I assume it's the same reason the area has the greatest number of known white supremacist groups. All the liberals and heathens give these groups purpose. I know it's hard for Portlanders to do but how about just ignoring these clods and letting them wither?

"the house band, which features roughly as many members as Typhoon"

Haha.

Jesus parks like a dick.
He bumps the car in front and in back of his when parallel parking and then walks away like nothing happened, even when people are watching him.
7
Another religous institution in town preaching against homosexuality - the only reason this one gets attention is because it is christian and white.
8
I wouldn't know how Jesus parked, because he never owned a car.
9
Can God make a car so long that Jesus can't park it?

Organized religion! RUN AWAAAAAYYYY!!!!!

@JAKE: IT'S NOT BEING INTOLERANT OF SOMEONE'S RELIGION; IT'S BEING INTOLERANT OF PEOPLE WHO WISH TO DENY EQUAL CIVIL RIGHTS TO ALL PEOPLE. SO THE NEXT LOGICAL STEP IS WHEN THOSE PEOPLE SAY, "BUT MY RELIGION TELLS ME TO IMPEDE THE CREATION OF A FREE AND JUST SOCIETY". THOSE ARE THE SAME ARGUMENTS MADE BY THE RELIGIOUS CONSERVATIVES WHEN THEY OPPOSED WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE, MISCEGENATION AND ALL OTHER MANNERS OF INCREASED LIBERTIES AND FREEDOMS. WE SEE HOW WELL THAT WORKED OUT HISTORICALLY FOR THOSE TYPES OF RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALISTS.

.... and yet we never see any mosques in these pages, etc.
I agree with you, but it seems we are afraid to critisize religous nuts of color or other belief systems in these pages.
14
@13......well, of course. Did you not get the memo?
15
At least the church says it's staying out of politics.
