You left out the line of the night, when Melisandre was proffering Stannis as the one true King, "...born of salt and smoke."

Renly: "So, you're a ham."

glad to see the season picking up some steam. A good episode overall, and your observation on Joffrey is spot on. Way too composed for an adolescent prick.

The Bolton casting was pretty great. It is nice to see the writers thinking ahead and giving the audience reasons to kind of find him annoying already.
Does anyone else think that Mayor Tommy Carcetti is getting just a little too much screen time this season?

I think you are spot on about Joffrey. And the scene, which felt heavy-handed and inconsistent with Joffrey's character, isn't in the book. Better when they stick to R.R. Martin's character development, IMO.

I agree about Daenarys' petulance. As an actress it must be a little tough to play the demanding entitled young princess who IS supposed to be and look young without coming across as foot-stampingly childish.

I'm super excited to see Jaqen H'ghar in the next episodes. When I first saw stills of him, I wasn't sure, and the look of his character was always really nebulous in my imagination, but now that I've seen him on the show I'm intrigued to see more.

If you believe democracies don't divest power into the hands of sadists, then you've obviously never worked in HR.

Please wait...
