I thought it was a bit silly when Saul was intimidated by Walt... the whole character change reminds me of the last season of Sopranos when they went out of their way to make Tony more unlikable.

Yeah, while I have no doubt that Saul is a coward, I think to be really frightening, Walt needs to have more guns behind him to really get that reaction. Though does Saul know he blew up Gus? That would do it.

Walt's over-confidence seems strange considering the character's wildly-fluctuating states of insecurity over the course of the show.

Ted's bound to get in the way of something at some point, I predict.

My current favorite guess about the foreshadowing scene? Hank's going to be onto Walt early this season. But he'll make a deal with Walt to spare Skyler and the kids—Walt pretends to die, goes off the grid, or something—and turns Walt loose as an asset on a suicide mission (because the cancer's probably back) to take down Madrigal or a cartel.
