Talking smack on Matt Smith while professing love for Tom Baker is the Whovian equivalent of saying you were into being into cool things before it was cool. It doesn't impress us, and makes you look like the douche you probably are.

Matt Smith is the second greatest Doctor in the history of the show. And he is only second because his portrayal is very derivative of Patrick Troughtons interpretation of The Doctor.

And you know what? I hate being that guy saying I liked things before it was cool.. but seriously, fuck off if you claim to love the show and don't have much of any clue about the 45 YEARS of history the show had before 2005. I'd rather be watching Doctor Who alone in a basement like I used to then be surrounded by a bunch of neophyte scenester fuckheads.

My thought still stands though, Tom Baker was overrated, and Matt Smith is the best post-revival Doctor hands down. And while the idea of a singular official canon is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to Doctor Who, in my world Matt Smith is #2 Doctor of all time second only to Patrick Troughton.
