While a lot of people will say it didn't do anything, it's pretty clear from where I sit that Occupy had a big role in making these issues mainstream issues for the first time in like 80 years.

While people are going to disagree about the fixes needed, it's refreshing to see so many people of varying political stripes in rough agreement on a problem, especially in an age where it seems like every issue has two rabidly polarized camps that can't even agree on what basic reality is (only that the other side is "evil").

I guess "refreshing" isn't the right word. Wall Street basically had to ass-rape the entire world before the problem became so obvious we could reach a broad consensus about what our financial systems were doing to our collective asses.

I largely agree with Colin, and I'd particularly add that it inspired a lot of young people who have likely never uttered the words "economic justice" in their lives before they went down to a park and borrowed some books and talked to some old-timers.

That said, it'll almost certainly still get worse before it gets better.

Totally, and look at all those Wall Street Bankster criminals who were sent to prison thanks to rigorous government regulations and Occupy.

Please wait...
