I accidentally saw a dubbed-in-German screening of 'Somewhere' (in Germany, believe it or not), but i don't speak German. I sat through it anyway. I still have yet to see it in the mother tongue, but based on what i was able to glean from it, and now from the looks of 'The Bling Ring', it appears that 'Lost in Translation' is the apex of her cinematic mountain...I hope i'm wrong.

She seems to be the Eric Clapton of filmmakers: Extremely talented and capable, but responsible for some stuff that's more mediocre than it could be...

I generally like Sofia Coppola's work, but this looks terrible.

I still enjoy her films, and look forword to seeing this one too.
That having been said, my fave is still "Lost...".

Marie Antoinette is her best work. Trailers typically make movies look worse than they really are (to me at least) but this subject material is so uninteresting to me, and I'm probably the only guy in the world who isn't all rape crazy for Emma Watson.
