Caller: "All of these people who will die from renal failure because of fluoridation in the water..."

DT: "Do you have any evidence of these catastrophic deaths that can be attributed to flouridated water?"

Caller: "Well, I, uh, I don't have it hear right at my fingertips, but..."

So close. All he had to do was reach down and pull it out of his ass, which is where he got it from in the first place.

Duh, the reason no pro- people called is the reason the anti-'s won: the anti people care about this to the core of their being, and to pro people, it's merely a sound improvement to the mostly-acceptable status quo.

When's the last time anyone called to have a radio discussion about something they believed was merely a better policy than the acceptable status quo?

Because the pro side are now all out busily translating dental health education material into different languages ( largest impacted group are non-english speakers ) and informing uninformed groups of the many free dental health programs available to them... oh wait, it's not that, it's because they're getting ready to fund raise for another fluoride-in-your-water battle...

"We will not rest until this passes"

Good job, Alejandro Queral, don't rest, there's a lot more money out there to be wasted.

screennametaken - we tried. We failed.
Now get up off your ass and do something.

Yes, screenname, the onus is completely on the pro-flouride side to make something positive out of this. The anti's can go back to gazing at themselves in the mirror again, I guess.

Or, you know, maybe we can all actually pull together and do something much more meaningful for health care. But my hopes are not very high, judging by the debate over flouride.

Please wait...
