This is a good thing and it's only fair that all modes of transportation have a crack at these dollars, but the BTA is going to have a hell of a time getting any of this money if "aiding the economy" is a requirement (though maybe that's a low bar). A squishy report about the benefits of bike tourism in the state produced by an organization that exists explicitly to promote tourism in the state probably isn't going to cut it.

It's backed by lottery funds, so it's automatically not a good thing. That "liberal / progressive" Oregon has a lottery is shameful.
