Yikes, you had a horrible sex-ed teacher. My abstinence-only class focused on STDs and the developmental stages of a fetus. I don't know if a lot has changed since my days as a student, or if I lucked out, but the expectations were gender-neutral.

When I went to school (back in the dark ages) there was no sex education. Of course, I'm ancient (just turned 77) but we did have pencils and paper.
