This list of folks who are opening their doors and the PPB response are both inspiring. Could this be civic pride I'm feeling?

Denis could you please add some websites where I could donate cash?

Also, dang it Red & Black....I'm starting to like you again.

Well, at least Jack Frost has decided to do something proactive about Portland's "homeless problem".

@pork chop: Eh... there's not enough tea in China to unburn that bridge.

There's always Portland State University. The lights are on all day and all night. The temperature is a constant, 74 degrees Fahrenheit. Smith and the Library are the places least likely for non students to be harassed by the PSU Safety Patrollers, but stroll around. You can walk for blocks without ever having to go outside. Use the basement tunnels and the enclosed, upstairs over passes. There are lots of warm alcoves with cushy easy chairs and sofas. Often times in the late morning and early afternoon, there is coffee and pastry left abandoned in meeting rooms on the second floor of Smith. Get there before catering comes to take the carts away, and toss the left overs out in the trash.

What- I was just implying that Jack Frost has forced people to give the homeless nice warm fuzzy blankets for Xmas. The frozen air has thawed out the hearts of the insensitive masses.... 2013: the year the holiday spirit triumphed against the injustices of the heartless American oligarchy.

People were only clicking dislike, JR, because they dislike the problem and they dislike your making them feel guilty for being amongst those who don't give a dollar or a damn.

Please wait...
