I will go with the Times on this one. Our city is laughed at largely because some want to present it as a Wes Anderson movie or Portlandia and we have not a want for more clueless scenesters to want to move here and live the Portland Fairy tale. This appears both emblamatic of this and pretty barfy
Yet there are many creative people here or to be fair have moved here that we hear nothing about unless they fit into the mold social media in this town cares about (note. both leading "alt" publications are very similar). Also, pretty much everyone is laughing at Portland being hipster central. And the hilarious fact that people (including the hipsters) hate the word
