Everything about this whole process seems backwards.

When you don't hear much from City Hall, you might possibly think they are hard at work on something and will announce it after its done. Now we know they never work on anything until after its public. Very scary.

So 20% of the street fee, so desperately needed because the council and PBOT can't possible find even a penny to cut elsewhere, will be spent on.... what, exactly? Overhead? That's $8-10 million.

Next they'll want a fee to pay for all the successful lawsuits against the Police Dept.

I'm more impressed with Novick's ability to open a beer bottle with his left prosthetic than I am of his handling of this street tax fiasco. Both of which I've witnessed first hand but only one is remotely worthy of accolades.
