Seems like if they want to know what may or may not work, they should have finished it in time to test it properly during the morning rush hour...

Why can't we have automated retractable bollards? They're used in many other bike-friendly cities, so that you have an extra lane of traffic during certain hours, that can then be pedestrian / bike only during the hours when there will actually be more pedestrians about and fewer cars.

So that's what that bullshit was. I had wondered if they had gotten a permit. It was pretty fucked up and haphazard. And after cyclists got past that makeshift barricaded lane that ended at Ash, they were vulnerable to fed-up motorists who wanted back into that lane to get to their right turns. Saw some near-misses. Ace goin', dudes!

I'm sure I'm just burned out after the Summer of Revolutionary Cyclist Entitlement. Back to your regularly scheduled only-bicycles-at-all-costs programming.
