And yeah, some of you fuckers are helping in getting that shit done!!!
2
Amen.
3
I stopped reading after you wrote "Have you finally accepted that without globalization the American people cannot meet their own supply and demand for goods and services?" That's such complete dumbfuckery.
4
Yep, Merkins are all hypocrites and/or arrogant asses; just look in the mirror, Anonymous.
5
Nice little false equivalency there with the "police brutality" thing, pal. You forget what yer bitchin' about?

This IA is soo full of fucking FAIL, it's hard to even know where to start. But i guess one simple point would be the fact that the U.S. has gone from one of the world's largest exporters to the world's largest IMPORTER over the past 30 years. Millions of jobs shipped over-seas, plus absurdly low trade tariffs would be an easy start. Maybe THAT'S some of the shit that Occupy is trying ti goddamned address.

Hence, this phase of shutting down the ports.

Things would be worse if we hadn't outsourced. China and India would still have turned into manufacturing centers, and American companies wouldn't have had ANY products to offer, if they were all made at US prices. It was outsource or close up shop.
8
funny, American manufacturing worked for a couple of hundred years, with goods being made here and bought here. Now we couldn't afford to buy our own stuff? We could in 1920, in 1940, in 1960, in 1980. Not now? Maybe you should think about why that might be.
9
Yeah. I suspect there isn't any data to support Anon's assertions... not to mention the fact that there was international trade pre-"globalization," but with higher barriers for various goods and countries. So... yeah.

@ number *8....you might want to learn a little bit about history, the global economy, shifts in Global power, etc. comparing the world structure and economy of 1940 or 160 to todays is laughable. 1980 was somewhat the turning point in a sense

I suppose those awesome wages are what makes Foxconn workers kill themselves? Anyhoo, next...

This can't be a serious argument, right? By China and India developing consumer-economies on their own, that would've meant that all U.S. manufacturing would've come to an end??? Sooo, what you were saying is that the U.S. cannot handle any competition?

note to #10: yes, we, the US, gave it away, starting in Reagan's time. In order to maximize profits for some really rich guys we allowed some stuff to happen which has crippled American production and cost jobs. 50 years ago almost all the clothes we wore were made here. 20 years ago it was down to 50%. Now it's 10%. Screw the "global economy". That only works for fat cats.

This "I, Anon" was written in a corporate p.r. office.

I wish you'd do a poll on this post. And I wish that poll included a vote for "This poster is an ill-informed tool and perhaps one of the Koch Brothers." I would pick that one.

All the 'occupy' of the ports did was fuck over the working man and woman.
And give some dumb hippies a chance to bang on their bongos and think they're cool.
