Point of clarification, IA: Is it not assumed that--despite one's seat being in a GA section-- that if they leave to get refreshements at the half, they are entitled to the same seats when they return? Regardless of your opinion of the refreshements they choose to ingest at the half? As much as I enjoy the Timbers, many of their most ardent fans do seem to go out of their way to tell everyone else how to behave at games.

Nobody ever fought over seats at a Portland Beavers game. Bring back baseball!

To clarify: This guy left with approx. 8 people and did not return to the game until post 60th minute. I was in a party of 3 and ALL of the seats they vacated had been taken by other people. I also don't give a shit who ingests what. I had a few beers that evening myself, its a celebration. My beef was with the reactions of this young man and how in the hell he could think that was okay to do.

eprophet....I don't disagree with you, but we are not all like that. I love the Timbers and have been a fan for a decade (in fact I played for FC Portland many moons ago), we try to discourage rude behavior from supporters unfortunately some people are just wankers. Sorry if you have had a bad experience at a match.

If you didn't like it, then you shouldn't have taken my seat!

Well, hopefully he reads your rant. That'll sure show him.

Man, soccer SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS.

He yelled "faggot" in the middle of a crowd for 20 minutes and no one shut him up? Man, Timbers crowds are weak sauce.

@8- I was thinking the exact same thing, afraid of a child, no less. This person should try going to a Seahawks game and have the nerve to cheer for their beloved Green Bay Packers. Faggot was probably the least offensive thing shouted at me that day. Just made me cheer louder. The Packers won, btw.

The Sea Chickens lost a game? No way. You are so making that up

I resent IA's last sentence. I'm far more of a disgrace to us all than some homophobic tweaker teenager. Geez.

Please wait...
