First off, who the Hell is Travis Baker?

Second off, what's it to YOU what the fuck is on someone else's body? Why don't you mind your own business and worry about YOURSELF, guy?

And i seriously doubt you saw someone with a "leaf" tattoo on their cheek or forehead.

Think of it this way anon, more jobs for the rest of us who didn't tattoo ourselves into infinity.
3
lol@having to work for someone who won't allow tattoos. So glad I'm not trapped in that kind of sit-com life.
4
My sitcom life is just fine thank you very much. And I won't regret having a metal van mural on my stomach at 85.
5
Don't have business meetings at Andina if you can't be around other people. They have good drinks though.

In world where everyone has tattoos, the uninked man is king.

THE KING OF THE SHEEPLE AMIRITE
7
If I were job interviewing two people of basically equal qualifications and one had a Kerouac tattoo, I'd hire the one with the tattoo.
8
I don't have any tattoos, because I'm a rebel.

There are plenty of jobs someone with a face tat can do. Just not front-office stuff.

This is the problem with the country today, we're being run into the ground by these idiots who've never been to a fucking factory.

To anonymous: Listen you corporate whore, someone has to make the shit you sell.

I've worked in manufacturing. Not a single person on that shop floor had a visible tattoo. Know why? They were too busy supporting their families and paying their bills to pay for a kanji tattoo that said "white asshole." Frankly, would rather give a job to a dude that has kids and a mortgage than some asshole wasting their money on some ridiculous idea of Asian 'spirituality' or Morrissey lyrics. Same idea.

"In world where everyone has tattoos, the uninked man is king."

That doesn't make much sense. In a world where everyone has tattoos, the one with the SICKEST ink is king/queen!

I hate tattoos. No secret. However, imploring Portlanders to not get a face/neck tattoo under the pretense of trying to "entice businesses to relocate here" -- are you fuckin' serious?? Portland is cool because people are weird. I live in Seattle where there's plenty of corporate businesses and corporate jobs (I have one -- that's why I live here). I would MUCH MUCH rather live in Portland, but not if it became more like Seattle......as those bumper stickers say: "Keep Portland Weird".

tcraighenry: people like you always weird me out, the folks who have such a focused interest on those who do things you don't "approve" of. Not everything in life is going to please you - but the way you hawk around online championing the "family man and his kids" seems kinda ridiculous - that or you're just an anticlimactic troll.

Who do you think has a better work ethic?
15
I know several people who have neck and facial tattoos and they have rather good jobs and schooling. I have also met people with neck tattoo's that were douches...I think it had little to do with the tattoo. Additionally, I doubt people with neck tattoo's are trying to become stockbrokers. Just a theory

"Who do you think has a better work ethic?"

wowsers. I'd say the the person who has the better work ethic is the one who has the better work ethic. tattoos don't mean shit in that equation. really. it's like saying christians have higher moral fiber than non-christians. personal experience tells me that neither of these assumptions hold even the slightest amount of water.

but it is clear that you're a complete bell-end for even asking the question. so kudos for that.

Are you a pretend English person?

i have more respect for someone with a face/neck tatoo they don't try to hide all the time, than for someone who whips it out for select company to show off. I mean shit, if you're so interested in displaying your art, why not display it all the time? That's the irony of the tattoo, to me-- they used to be used to signify, now they're just part of hidden vanity.

Doesn't this poster have something better to do than whine about other people's perceived mistakes. Jeezus.
20
I find it outrageous people rant about others perceived mistakes and slights on the internet.

Please wait...
