This is a pretty fair complaint. When your sale is over, that piece of cardboard goes from being a sign to being litter. That also goes for anything you add to the three inches of waste paper stapled to every light post in the city.

I had a garage sale a few weeks ago; decided to close up an hour earlier; was putting stuff away; then this old man came rolling up; yelled at me and my friends for not taking down our sign that very instant; he then drove away in a huff. How dare I leave that sign up for longer than 5 minutes after the garage sale was closed! How dare I indeed! lawl

Hey I,A; was that you?

Or at LEAST put a DATE on it, not just "Big Sale TOMORROW!"....I saw one the other day and might have been tempted except for not knowing if it had already happened or not.

But yeah, clean up your litter. Same with political signs after the election.

I agree, but if there isn't a date on the sign, just ignore it. Simple as that.

Pull an "Iron Maiden" in the yard.

SJR: You irritate the crap out of me over in Blogtown, but I kind of like you here in IA.

Please wait...
