That's great that you're able to gracefully handle being told to keep your shit down when you're drunk and it's really late at night.

Some people... not so much. And so the super exciting and super empowering world of passive aggressive note-leaving was born.
2
Congratulations! You left a note explaining your feelings to your neighbor, and this IA appears to be merely a self-congratulating afterthought.

But if you're soliciting opinions: i disagree that the person needs to enter a conversation with you, to avoid being called am immature, passive-aggressive, or a "bitch". You sound twee. Her/his letter was clear. Don't be such a techno-friendly dick.
3
"Immature, passive-aggressive bullshit", just like leaving this letter on I, Anonymous. Especially the last line. Sounds like you're the bitch.
4
Handwritten notes and "bumpin' techno music until 2 a.m." references? Is this I,A rant 20 years late or just "ironic"?
5
So you were mad that they left a note instead of talking to you, and you replied by leaving a note and an I, anonymous instead of talking to them?
6
If someone can hear you from TWO floors above then yes your shit is way too loud and you deserve to be shamed with anonymous note cards that make you feel so embarrassed by your lack of respect that you lash out anonymously on the interweb. The person right above or below I can understand, but 2 floors?! Is your shanty made of cardboard? If not, you're the problem - not your neighbor. Keep it down. Using "I'm in college, it's totally expected that I'm a rude piece of shit" is a weak ass excuse.

Leaving a note is NOT passive-aggressive. Let me tell you, you idiot drunk, as someone who has both reported noise and been reported:

Passive-aggressive is when they just report your ass to the manager instead of communicating with you. You have no perspective because you are an idiot.

And the fact that you staged a public temper tantrum over this means you're a psycho, too.

As usual, anonymous should eat a handful of lye chips. You and your boyfriend, both. It's the right thing to do.

A drunk idiot like you only takes away from the good in the world. Let's face it, you're drinking so much because you know it's true. You should kill yourself.

Good luck getting your "degree".

Leaving a note for a neighbor is their way of saying "I don't know if you're an asshole or not, don't want to find out, please just turn down the music."

Although most people that start their complaints with "Seriously?" are pricks.
9
You and your boyfriend are inconsiderate people. The fact that you are in college doesn't mean it is okay to forcefully invade other people's personal space with your lifestyle.

Instead of worrying about passive aggressiveness, why don't you ask yourself "Why am I such an asshole that total strangers have to leave me notes?"

Also try this: turn on your music about level 5 and walk across your apartment? I'll bet you can hear it just fine. So why do you crank it to 11? I'm guessing it is because you want your neighbors to have to listen to it.
10
What's with all the talk of lye chips? Unless you can get them in Cool Ranch flavor they sound awful.
11
@jamdox - you shouldn't tell people to kill themselves.
12
Ah college. Ya can't beat it. I agree with Blabby
13
I'm just trying to spice things up. Where's Damos, anyway?
14
Note to self: avoid note leavers.
15
The notion of "I'm going to make noise and you have to come down and tell me if it's too loud" is the ultimate in passive aggressive.
16
tapped? taped? college?
17
i was on board until techno came into the story. i don't care the time of day, if i can hear techno i'm about ready to ram feces into your mailbox.
18
Blabby, I guess they had to crank it till 11 because they where on a Sex Farm vicious circle addiction.
19
Blabby nailed it.
I would be so angry that the only proper way to deal with it would be by a note.
Why should they even have to confront your inconsiderate ass anyway?
20
Jambox, it is so messed up to tell people they should kill themselves. Get help, you need it. Please

Please wait...
