Yes, I went to art school for the ensuing fame and glory, but mostly for the FAT STACKS OF CASH that the art scene is so well known for.

Some people get educations for the sake of being more educated - not because they're expecting some big payoff in the end. Those of us who aren't passionate about software development or something lucrative just have to settle for personal satisfaction over money. It doesn't mean we don't know what we're doing.

Oh, and BTW I currently have an awesome job that is suited to my skill set and gives me a raise or two every year.

Nah, my company is legitimate, pay taxes and everything. More people should look into finding what it is they love to do and find a way to do that very thing in a way that's profitable. Unfortunately most people don't, and end up falling in line at some shitty job they hate.
