If your dog has any identifiable attributes of a specific breed, you're going to take all kinds of shit for it, regardless of the individual animal's temperament or compatibility with your lifestyle. Every breed comes with traits that some people don't like.

This I,A probably walks their dog on Cleveland High School's track while sprinters and joggers like me are on it, yet there is a big sprawling field to walk and play fetch with your mutt right next to the track.

I own a purebred, not linebred, 7 year old St Bernard that I bought as a puppy for $100.00 from a farmer in the middle of Yamhill County. He has never had a bad illness nor does he have any allergies.

My point is, anybody strongly against a purebred dog is just using their so-called rescue dog as a status symbol. A dog is just a dog. They don't know their breed or if they were rescued or not. Regardless of your position, love your dog and give him a goddamn bath when they are dirty.

I can't believe people found something to rag about in this. A lot of people who say "I have a _________" really mean "I have a mutt/mix who is mostly or at least part _________." Have you looked at the Humane Society's dogs? Most dogs have some identifiable breed or another. And I've seen a good chunk of cattle dogs on there. Drop your assumptions!
