If you're an OG, then the onus was on you and your fellow lumberjacks to prevent these interlopers and their passive-aggressive attitudes from working in the Portland service industry.
I say start paying service industry workers $12/hr. When they realize they have to work 40hrs/wk, we can all sit back and watch them flee the industry or go insane.
It's a win/win scenario.

Whenever I hear "passive- agressive" in a negative tone, I'm always trying to figure out what the better alternative is.
Agressive-Agressive?
Passive-Passive?
I agree with you I/Anon you want to snap your fingers in their face and ask anybody there? There are a lot of very good clerks that do smile and act like they care if your visit to their store was pleasant. I'm new to Portland, so this city is famous for it's P/A? When my Mrs and I started reading the I/Anon blog we wondered what all the jabbering about passive/aggressive meant. A friend in the cube next to me a few years back said I was being passive/aggressive by being late all the time. First time I heard the term. Is oversleeping P/A also? Is sweet and sour sauce? What about Kettle Corn?
Please wait...
and remember to be decent to everyone all of the time.
It's a win/win scenario.
