I'd say be friendly to your bus driver or just quiet if your having a bad day- if you can't maintain the ridiculously frinedly social code or manage not to mess it up you just do not belong in portland (To those disrespctfuls from other towns who try to bring that hard ass attitude here; nobody cares/ go back to where you came from).

as for those bus drivers and especially that Deutsche security guard at the Tri-Met lost and found who get cocky authoritative attitudes on the people who pay their way; makes me think SOME tri met folks need to be put in check....don't let the friendly weirdness fool you we portlanders don't put up with no shit.

I ride the bus to work downtown five days a week. These drivers are a staunch bunch. All the drivers with bad attitudes seem to get banished to the westside routes. Trimet could stand to hire more personable security staff. I took my niece to the zoo and I couldn't believe the way the fare inspectors were barking at everyone.

Bus drivers make more than enough money as it is. I rarely ride the bus, because it's almost just as fast to walk, and one hell of alot cheaper. Besides, I really don't like breathing the air with a bunch of diseased, idiots.

The most cost effective means of daily transportation, is from 'Rent A Wreck'. No insurance hassles and when the car needs service, you just swap for a fresh ride. The mechanics really tune these old suckers hot, too!

I've been wondering WTF if wrong with Portland for years now. Turns out we've got a buncha bus drivers running it.
