Whatever happens on May 17, let it be known that one candidate in Portland's mayoral race has by far the freshest theme song.

Jessie Sponberg's campaign has released a venerable hip hop track—and accompanying video featuring the candidate nodding his head stoically in the back of a convertible while a collection of local emcees tell you why he needs to be in office (also: shout out to the dude in the ski mask sipping a juice box).

It's really good, replete with many of the topics Sponberg has raised in his long-shot bid for the mayor's office (water policy, homelessness, and police reform are biggies), well produced, and just lyrically solid all around, with contributions from Al-One the Remedy, MY-G, Prologic, and Brown Caesar,
