Well, Bridgetown's over. My brain is now a melty, gooey puddle of laffs, chuckles, guffaws, and snortles. I hardly have words, so let's just look at Pat Moran's great photos from the fest, shall we?

Saturdays Hey Ladies! show had the weirdest (bestest) performance I saw all weekend. Emcee Lizzy Pilcher introduced this bizarro act as THE WORM. The house lights came up and a creature in a red zipped-up sleeping bag, beige condom cap, apple-rouged cheeks, and huge glasses burrowed out into the audience. The Worm slinked on the floor, groaning and fretting its way to the stage, while moaning loudly for water. What followed was a most peculiar bit of ennui-riddled dialogue. The Worm inched to the back row, made aggressive and pointed eye contact with me, and asked a question about the sky while inadvertently spitting in my face. It was great. The Worm was Natalie Palamides, who went on to win Eliza Skinners freesstyle rap battle on Sunday at Turnt Up.
